Savings for Nonprofit Mailings

If your nonprofit regularly sends periodicals, membership updates, newsletters, or other mass mailings, applying for Nonprofit Standard Mailing status can significantly reduce costs and streamline the mailing process. The application is free and can lead to considerable time and financial savings for your organization.

Determining Eligibility

To qualify for these discounted rates, a nonprofit must ensure that no part of its funds benefits private shareholders or members. Eligible organizations include:

  • 501(c)(3): Charitable, educational, religious, scientific, and philanthropic groups

  • 501(c)(5): Agricultural and labor organizations

  • 501(c)(8): Fraternal societies

  • 501(c)(19): Veteran groups

  • A minimum of 200 pieces or 50 pounds of addressed mail per mailing
